KINDERHOOK – Ichabod Crane athletes were named to the Times Union high school all-star teams.
First team for small school boys’ soccer:
Forwards
Logan Groat, Sr., Ichabod Crane: Paced the Riders with a team-high 24 goals, the last of which came in a 2-1 loss to Schuylerville in the Section II Class B final. Groat landed a spot on the Colonial Council’s first team and also contributed seven assists.
Midfield
Edgar Gomez, Jr., Ichabod Crane: The Colonial Council’s Most Valuable Player produced a standout campaign that included scoring 17 goals and adding nine assists for the Riders.

Small school football:
Tight end
Haydon Broockmann, Sr., Ichabod Crane: Class B Reinfurt first-team selection for the third consecutive year, this time at defensive end, Broockmann is a four-year starter and three-year captain for the Riders. Played several positions this season for Ichabod Crane. Started at tight end for the Southat the 2019 Exceptional Seniors game.
