PHILMONT—Richard D. Losaw, 81, of Philmont, formerly of Pittsfield, MA, died peacefully Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Pittsfield, MA, April 13, 1943, he was the son of the late Junius Losaw. After high school, he pursued a long career in the dairy industry. He worked for the Pulver Farm in Chatham among other local farms, also as a laborer cutting and splitting firewood.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his nephews, Felix and Paul Losaw. In keeping with his wishes, private burial will take place in the spring next to his father at the Spencertown Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Sacco Funeral Home, Greenport.
