HUDSON—Phyllis Mottoshiski, 90, of Stottville died peacefully Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Born in Tivoli, January 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Edith (Rynier) Coon.
She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grand- and great-grandmother. She was the widow of the late Martin Donald Mottoshiski, Jr. She was a devoted member of Christ Church Episcopal in Hudson and had great devotion and love for her church. She loved square dancing clubs, polka dancing as well as crocheting and bingo.
She will be greatly missed by her family including: her son, Richard Mottoshiski; daughters, Deborah Moore, Doreen LaValley (Donald), Kelly Alimonti (Richard); brother, Harold “Manny” Coon; grandchildren, Kristen, Jennifer, Melissa, Michael, Amanda, Donald, Justin, Christopher, Corey and Chris as well as, 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Diana Mottoshiski; son-in-law, Michael Moore, Sr.; brothers, Roger and Sonny Coon, and sisters, Marie, Adeline, Caroline, Betty, Margaret, Patty and Shirley.
Calling hours will be held Thursday March 6, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sacco Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Frank Lockwood from the Church of Our Savior in New Lebanon officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Cedar Park Cemetery.
