PHILMONT—Martin “Marty” H. Clough, 90, of Philmont died peacefully at home in the company of his loving family, Friday March 7, 2025. Born in Hudson March 2, 1935, he was the son of the late Henry and Margaret (Moore) Clough. After high school, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon returning home he pursued a long career as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with friends and family, especially his lifelong friend, Tony Concra.
He will be greatly missed by: his loving wife, Jenny M. (Ploof) Clough; brother, Charlie Clough of Copake; sister, Doris (Arnold) Albright of Hillsdale; children, Martin (Karen) Clough, David (Mary) Clough, Deborah Pfeiffer, Lisa (Darryl) Mossman; step-children, who he always treated like his own, Clair-Jhean (Todd) Conto-Mills, Stephen (Alicia) Ploof; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who he loved so much. He taught each child something and lessons they have carried on through their lives.
A Memorial Service will be announced when arrangements are complete. Arrangements are with the Sacco Funeral Home, Greenport.
