ELIZAVILLE—Gina (Miller) Hedges, 69, a longtime resident of Elizaville, succumbed suddenly February 25, 2025.
Born September 2, 1955 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Filomena (Nocerino) Miller.
A graduate of Marymount Academy in Park Terrace and John Jay College of Criminal Justice, both in Manhattan, she later spent much of her career working for the United States Postal Service, with a particular dedication to the Letter Carriers Union as its representative.
During her retirement, she and her husband, Arthur, traveled throughout the United States, visiting national parks to see all the country had to offer, while visiting old friends and making new ones along the way.
She was devoted to her family and community. She served as president and secretary to the Twin Lakes Improvement Association for three decades. She also served as committee chair to the Boy Scout Troop 32 of Elizaville.
She is survived by: her loving spouse, Arthur Hedges of Elizaville; sons, Christopher Reilly of New York City and Nicholas Hedges of Graham, WA; her step-children, Heather Hedges of Elizaville and Nathan Hedges of Fishkill; her grandchildren, Julianna, Gabrielle, Jacob, Bella, Fiona, and Charlotte; many friends and family.
Friends and family were received at Burnett & White Funeral Homes in Red Hook, March 3, 2025.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Christopher’s Church, March 4. Burial followed at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
