GHENT—All four villages in the county held elections Tuesday, March 19. Kinderhook Village has a new mayor – former trustee Dorene M. Weir ran unopposed. There is also a new Village Justice and a new trustee in the village. The mayor and trustee terms are two years, and the Village Justice is a four year term.
In Chatham and Philmont incumbents ran unopposed and were reelected to two year terms on their boards. In Valatie, long time trustee Angelo Nero did not run for reelection, so a former trustee was elected to the board along with the incumbent.
