HUDSON–On May 21, the residents of the Hudson City School District will vote on a proposed budged of $55.6 million that runs from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. This budget will be 2% higher than the 2023-24 budget and comes with a 2% increase in tax levy. The 2% is well within the 3.42% tax levy increase cap for the coming year.
The proposed 2024-25 budget maintains “all General Fund student programs and services” and allows “continued investments in classroom instruction and student supports,” according to a presentation by Superintendent Juliette Pennyman and Chief Financial Officer Tabatha Biggane.
The following table compares the proposed 2024-25 budget with the 2023-24 one, by revenue and expenses.
