CLAVERACK–State Police from the Livingston barracks charged Jacob O’Leary, 19, of Greenport with first degree assault, a class B felony, August 20 at 2:15 p.m.
Columbia County 911 dispatched troopers to Columbia Memorial Hospital for a reported stabbing.
The 18-year-old victim said that he and group of friends were at a party on Humane Society Road when a verbal altercation turned physical. During the fight, the victim reported that he was stabbed in the abdomen by an unknown male subject.
The victim’s peers took him to Columbia Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
During a detailed investigation, Mr. O’Leary was identified as the suspect who allegedly stabbed the victim. He was taken into custody and arraigned in Claverack Court where he was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond.
Hudson
Louis C. Lowman, a/k/a, “Dice”, 42, of Hudson was charged with third degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony and criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, by Hudson Police, Wednesday, August 17.
At about 1 a.m. that morning, the Columbia-Greene Shared Services Response team executed a Columbia County search warrant at Mr. Lowman’s residence, 724 Warren Street, without incident.
Police recovered a few hundred dollars in cash, a small quantity of heroin, a scale and Mr. Lowman was found to be in possession of a telescoping billy club. The suspect is a four-time convicted felon, police said in a press release.
This warrant was obtained in connection with an investigation into alleged drug dealing around the 700 block of Warren Street and the Eighth Street neighborhood.
It was conducted by the Hudson City Detectives Division and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Investigator’s Division. The Columbia County District Attorney’s Office was also involved.
Mr. Lowman was arraigned before City Court Judge John Connor and jailed without bail. He is scheduled to return to Hudson City Court at a later date.
“These folks just don’t get it. You would think after three successful raids in just the past couple of weeks that one would realize that illegal weapons and drug trafficking is not going to work in the City of Hudson. HPD will continue to apply the pressure ultimately limiting and reducing this illegal trade in our city,” Hudson Police Commissioner Gary Graziano said in the release.
Stockport
Dylan Hines, 20, of Stockport was charged with third degree assault by State Police from Livingston, August 6 at 8:14 p.m.
Mr. Hines allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old person July 27.
He was arraigned in Stockport Court, where bail was set at $250 cash or $500 bond. He was sent to the Columbia County Jail.
Chatham
Paul M. Winslow, 31, of Hudson was charged with second degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest by State Police from New Lebanon, August 6 at 11 p.m. Troopers were attempting to take two suicidal subjects for a mental health evaluation when Mr. Winslow allegedly interfered by ushering them away from police.
When troopers tried to place Mr. Winslow in custody, he allegedly actively resisted arrest.
He was arraigned in Kinderhook Town Court by Justice David Dellehunt and released on his own recognizance.
Hillsdale
Harold Hosier, 44, of Hillsdale was charged with second degree aggravated harassment by State Police from Rhinebeck, August 7 at 10:30 p.m.
Mr. Hosier allegedly sent threatening text messages to someone. He was arraigned in Pine Plains Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to Pine Plains Court October 7.
Greenport
Rayon White, 26, of Greenport was charged with second degree criminal contempt and third degree assault, both misdemeanors, by State Police from Livingston, August 12, During a dispute, Mr. White allegedly struck a person protected by a court order. He is scheduled to appear in Greenport Court August 29.
Stuyvesant
Kevin M. Krein, 31, of Stuyvesant Falls was charged with second degree criminal contempt, a class A misdemeanor, by Deputy Jordan Brahm, August 14 at 6:03 p.m.
Mr. Krein allegedly violated a court order of protection. He was arraigned in Stuyvesant Court and released on his own recognizance with a return date in September.
Drugs/alcohol
The following face drug- and/or alcohol-related charges:
*Janice K. Eisen, 58, of Kinderhook was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08% by State Police from New Lebanon, July 18 at 11:54 p.m. Troopers were dispatched to investigate a one-car auto collision that occurred on McNary Avenue, Kinderhook. They determined Ms. Eisen was intoxicated at the time of the crash. She provided a breath sample with a 0.15% BAC and was ordered to appear in Kinderhook Village Court at a later date.
*Emylee Carnevale, 21, of Pittsfield, MA, was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08%, crossing road hazard markings and stopping, standing or parking on a highway by State Police from New Lebanon, July 20 at 12:15 a.m. Troopers stopped Ms. Carnevale for failing to maintain her lane of travel on State Route 295, Canaan. Troopers determined she was intoxicated at the time of the stop. She was due to appear in Canaan Court at a later date.
*Anthony Bueti, 56, of New Lebanon was charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation (three or more suspensions, driving while using a mobile phone, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway and unlawful possession of marijuana possession by State Police from New Lebanon, July 25 at 4 p.m. Troopers stopped Mr. Bueti for a cell phone violation. He was found to have a suspended driver’s license and was in possession of marijuana. He was arraigned in New Lebanon Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail.
*Leonardo Martinez, 48, of Kinderhook was charged with driving while intoxicated, having a blood alcohol content (BAC) greater than or equal to .08%, speeding and failure to keep right by State Police from Livingston, July 28 at 2:30 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Third Street, Hudson for speeding, Mr. Martinez provided a breath sample that revealed a .09% BAC. He was released to a third party and directed to appear in Hudson Court at a later date.
