WEST TAGHKANIC—Taghkanic Senior Network, a newly-formed committee for the Town of Taghkanic, presents NY FRAUD WATCH with Alexandria Douglas-Bartolone, MPA, sponsored by AARP Speaker’s Bureau, at the Taghkanic Firehouse, 631 Old Route 82, September 25, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

This free, fun and informative presentation was created by AARP’s Fraud Watch Network to empower people to avoid scams, as well as provide support and guidance to victims and their family when fraud happens. Snack will be served.

Mourners bid farewell to DA Czajka
Family, friends and colleagues stand, some saluting, as the casket of former county judge and district attorney Paul Czajka is wheeled into St. Mary’s Church / Holy Trinity Parish, Hudson, for his funeral Mass, Monday, September 9. Hundreds gathered for visitation at the Bates and Anderson Funeral Home in Hudson, the afternoon of September 8 and the Mass the next morning to say goodbye to the public servant who dedicated nearly 40 years to the people of Columbia County. Following Mass, burial took place at Holy Trinity Parish Nativity Chapel in Germantown. A celebration of his life was held at the Hudson Powerboat Association.
