HUDSON–City Police are investigating a robbery that occurred the night of Thursday, June 27 at about 11:30 p.m. on the 300 block of Columbia Street.
They are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying two young men who were seen entering the Hudson Bazaar convenience store on North Third Street, Thursday night just prior to closing.
The store owner was confronted outside the store, assaulted and robbed.
Police have obtained two video surveillance shots of the suspects and ask anyone who knows who they are to contact Hudson Detectives at 518 828-9900 or 518 828- 3388.
*Michael J. Makoske, 23, of Hudson was charged with second degree menacing (weapon) and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon (intent to use) by Hudson Police Officer Nicholas Hodges at 200 Warren Street, June 15 at 2:06 a.m.
Mr. Makoske was arrested on an active Hudson City Court warrant after he allegedly threatened another person with a box cutter. He was arraigned and sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail $5,000 bond.
He was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. When he was taken into custody on the warrant, police found Mr. Makoske to allegedly have a small clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance that was tested positive for marijuana.
*Samir Salah Alygad, 29, of Freehold was charged with second degree criminal trespass by Hudson Police Officer Rodney Waithe at the police station, June 15 at 7:18 p.m.
Mr. Alygad was arrested on a signed complaint following a dispute. He allegedly entered into the residence of the complainant without permission. He was held for arraignment.
Philmont
Marlie B. Foshay, 20, of Philmont was charged with harassment, resisting arrest, third degree criminal mischief, a class E felony and fourth degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor by Deputies Jeffrey Hofstetter, Patrick Mayo and Ryen Boehme, June 21 at 2:50 p.m.
Following a dispute, Deputies Hofstetter and Boehme approached Ms. Foshay’s Elm Street apartment. She allegedly “stormed towards” them yelling, screaming and pushed Deputy Hofstetter.
When she was told she was under arrest, she allegedly resisted. She allegedly kicked the interior of the patrol vehicle causing damage to the rear passenger door. Earlier during the dispute, she allegedly damaged a man’s property. Arraigned in Claverack Court before Justice Michael Brandon, Ms. Foshay was sent to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond and was directed to return to court at a later date. Assisting at the scene was Lt. James Andrews, Sgt. Donald Krapf, Investigators Anthony Brahm and Patrick Logue.
Stockport
David P. Weaver, 37, of Stockport Weaver was charged with second degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, both class A misdemeanors, by Deputies Kris Bauhoff and Peter Grzeskow, June 17 at 11:47 p.m. During a dispute, Mr. Weaver allegedly threw a piece of wood at a woman striking her in the side of her face while a young child was present. Arraigned before Stockport Justice Harold Horner, Mr. Weaver was released on his own recognizance and directed to return to town court at a later date.
Claverack
Stanley P. Kahle, 55, of Claverack was charged on a state Division of Parole arrest warrant by Deputy Andrew Broockmann, June 14 at 9:30 a.m.
Mr. Kahle was taken into custody without incident at his residence. He was sent to the county jail without bail pending additional Division of Parole proceedings.
Drugs/alcohol
The following face drug- and/or alcohol-related charges:
*Barkim Ashe, 22, and his passenger, Anthony Alford, 22, both of Catskill were charged with fourth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Mr. Ashe was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic law violations by State Police from Livingston, June 16 at 8 p.m. Troopers stopped the Ashe vehicle on State Route 9G in Greenport for being uninspected. While interviewing the occupants, troopers detected an odor of marijuana. During a search of the vehicle, about 118 grams of marijuana was discovered. Both men were issued appearance tickets returnable in Greenport Court.
*Timothy Gooden Merritt, 46, of Albany was charged with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (dangerous drug other/selling) at the police station by Hudson Police Officer Dean A. Rowe, June 6 at 10:45 a.m.
Mr. Merritt allegedly sold crack cocaine. He was arraigned in before City Judge Mark Portin and sent to jail without bail.
*Sheldon Donatelli, 19, of Leeds was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana by State Police from Livingston, June 9 at 8:20 a.m. Troopers were conducting a road check on State Route 23 in Greenport when they interviewed Mr. Donatelli, who was driving a vehicle passing through the road check. The troopers spotted a marijuana pipe in the vehicle and additionally found Mr. Donatelli to be in possession of hashish. He issued appearance tickets returnable in Greenport Court.
*Nancy B. Couch, 53, of New York City was charged with speeding, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and possessing a controlled substance in a non-original container by State Police, June 13. Troopers stopped Ms. Couch for speeding (88 mph in a 55 mph zone) on the Taconic State Parkway in Austerlitz. She was found to be impaired by drugs and in possession of controlled substances. She was issued tickets returnable in Austerlitz Court at a later date.
*Danaye Shook, 35, of Canaan was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding and having unsafe tires after a motor vehicle crash on State Route 22 in Austerlitz, June 18.
An investigation by State Police revealed that Ms. Shook was operating her vehicle in an intoxicated condition, was driving at a speed not reasonable and prudent for conditions and had unsafe tires, which caused her to exit the roadway and strike a tree. Ms. Shook was issued tickets returnable in Austerlitz Court.
*Cory Jornov, 24, of Niverville was charged with driving while intoxicated by State Police, Sunday, June 16. Troopers were interviewing Mr. Jornov about a separate incident on Route 9 in Kinderhook Village, when they found that he was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Mr. Jornov provided a breath sample with a .11% blood alcohol content. He was issued tickets returnable in Kinderhook Village Court July 1.
*Crystal Angier, 48, of Stuyvesant was charged on an arrest warrant for seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance by Sheriff’s Office Sergeant William Zincio, June 17 at 3:15 p.m. Ms. Angier failed to appear in court to answer an appearance ticket in April, which resulted in the issuance of the warrant. Arraigned in the Greenport Court before Justice Francis Abitabile, Ms. Angier was released on her own recognizance and directed to return to court July 15.
*Matthew Brooking, 23, of Castleton was charged with driving while intoxicated by Kinderhook State Police, June 25. Troopers received a report about a reckless driver. Mr. Brooking was traveling north on State Route 9H, Kinderhook, when he was seen failing to maintain his lane several times. Troopers pulled Mr. Brooking over in the Hannaford parking lot and found him to be intoxicated. He provided a breath sample with a .13% blood alcohol content. He was issued traffic tickets returnable in Kinderhook Town Court July 2.
*Jordan R. Dean Gleason, 26, of Chatham was charged with failure to keep right on a two-lane road, driving while intoxicated (first offense) and aggravated driving while intoxicated (having a .18% blood alcohol content or higher, first offense) by Hudson Police Officer Anthony Moon, Jr., at 437 Columbia Street, June 16 at 1:55 a.m. Mr. Gleason was charged after someone lodged a complaint about the way he was driving his motorcycle. Mr. Gleason’s breath sample revealed a .20% blood alcohol content. He was ticketed and released to a third party.
*Tonya B. Woznieski, 41, of Stottville was charged with tampering with physical evidence (conceal destroy), criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana by Hudson Police officer Dean Rowe at 71 Prospect Avenue, June 17 at 4:13 p.m. Ms. Woznieski allegedly possessed crack cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop. She also allegedly swallowed a piece of crack cocaine upon being stopped. She was released on appearance tickets returnable in Hudson City Court July 23.
*Randolph E. Rosand, 50, of Livingston was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and vehicle and traffic violations by Livingston State Police, Friday, June 21 at 8:30 a.m. Troopers stopped Mr. Rosand for failure to keep right. They interviewed the driver, who could not perform field sobriety tests. His breath test revealed a .18% blood alcohol content. He was arraigned in Livingston Court and was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond to reappear at a later date.
