HUDSON—James M. Gooley, a/k/a James Murray, a/k/a James Gooley Murray, 68, of Kinderhook was indicted by a Grand Jury on six counts related to having sexual contact with children.
Mr. Gooley appeared in Columbia County Court before Judge Richard Koweek, October 24. Represented by Attorney Dennis Schlenker, Mr. Gooley pleaded not guilty.
He is charged with first degree criminal sex act, two counts of second degree criminal sex act and three counts of first degree sexual abuse.
The indictment alleges that he engaged in oral sex with someone under 13-years of age in January 2008; engaged in anal sex with someone under 15 in December 2008; engaged in oral sex with someone under 15 in October 2008; subjected someone under 11 to sexual contact in December 2006, September and October 2004.
He was sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail pending pre-trial hearings, if any, scheduled for January 8, 2013 at 1 p.m. His trial is scheduled to begin April 1, 2013 at 9 a.m., according to the District Attorney’s Office. Assistant District Attorney Bob Gibson is handling the case.
