NEW LEBANON–A man who was pulled over for having darkened windows ended up facing weapons and drug charges, March 11.
Matthew Gilardi, 20, of Pittsfield, MA, was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and excessive window tint by New Lebanon Trooper Nicholas Lombardi.
During a traffic stop on Route 20, the trooper spotted a switchblade knife sticking out of Mr. Gilardi’s pocket. He was also found with two used marijuana pipes, He was ticketed to appear in New Lebanon Court.
Stottville
Columbia County 911 summoned Stottville firefighters and the Greenport Rescue Squad for a fire at the Stockport Town Hall, 2787 Atlantic Avenue, March 19 at 5:09 a.m. Stockport firefighters were asked to stand by in their own quarters. The fire was confined to the area around the side door. Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office was on the scene and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fire cause. Stottville units were back in service at 9:04 a.m.
Livingston
State Police at Livingston investigated a two-car personal injury accident on State Route 82 and Ten Broeck Road, January 6.
A vehicle driven by David Herring, 59, of Millerton was southbound on Route 82, when his vehicle ran into the rear-end of a vehicle driven by Christopher Weaver, 42, of Livingston.
Northern Dutchess Paramedics took Mr. Weaver to Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment of head injuries. Livingston firefighters assisted at scene.
Investigating Trooper J. Horton charged Mr. Herring with driving while ability impaired by drugs and following too closely. He was released with tickets returnable in Livingston Court.
*Jason VanAckooy, 32, of Livingston was charged with second degree criminal trespass and second degree harassment by Livingston Trooper
B. Keeler, January 3.
Earlier that day, Mr. Van Ackooy allegedly entered a woman’s residence without permission and once inside–threatened her. Troopers later caught up with Mr. VanAckooy. He was arraigned in Livingston Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Copake
Adriana Rodriguez, 20, of Copake was charged with third degree assault by Livingston Trooper G. Szulis, January 1.
Ms. Rodriguez became involved in an altercation with another woman at her residence, during which she allegedly struck and injured her.
Ms. Rodriguez was released on an appearance ticket returnable in Copake Court.
