CANAAN–A Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth child care worker was charged with driving drunk on his way to work the night of May 8.
New Lebanon State Police had closed Route 22 between Route 295 and Queechy Lake Drive because a tree had fallen across the road.
Gyan Addo, 37, of Pittsfield, allegedly drove around several road flares and a State Police patrol vehicle to enter the closed road.
Trooper Bart Van Buren stopped Mr. Addo and discovered that he had been drinking. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and having a blood alcohol content greater than .08% (.12%). Mr. Addo was issued a ticket to appear in Canaan Court.
Hudson
Livingston State Police charged three people with second degree robbery April 17.
Police investigated a complaint from a local resident who said that while he was at a party cash was forcibly taken from him.
Charged were: Jeremy Decker, 18, of Greenport; William May, 19, of Stockport; and Ashley Gordineer, 17, of Hillsdale. All three were arraigned in Hudson Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail.
Copake
Rose Petersons, 55, of Hillsdale was charged with second degree forgery by Livingston State Police April 18.
Troopers pulled Ms. Petersons over on Yonderview Road for traffic violations and subsequently discovered that she allegedly had created the inspection and registration stickers that appeared on her car windshield.
She was also charged with driving an uninspected, unregistered vehicle without insurance and aggravated unlicensed operation.
She was arraigned in Livingston Court and released with tickets to appear in Copake Court.
Ancram
William Stern, 51 of Ancram was charged with second degree criminal contempt by Livingston State Police April 16.
Mr. Stern allegedly contacted an ex-girlfriend in violation of a Columbia County Family Court Order of Protection. He was arraigned in Copake Court and released after posting $250 cash bail.
New Lebanon
Troopers report charging three impaired drivers in 12 minutes between 10:38 and 10:50 p.m. the night of May 7.
Trooper Bart Van Buren charged Denise Leach, 48, of Belhaven, N.C., with driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop on Gale Hill Road in West Lebanon. Ms. Leach had a blood alcohol content of .14%, troopers say.
She was arraigned in New Lebanon Court, posted $500 cash bail and was released. She will return to court June 3.
Trooper John La Plante charged Tristen Miller, 23, of Pittsfield, with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Route 20 in New Lebanon. Ms. Miller was issued tickets to appear in New Lebanon Court.
Trooper Nicholas Lombardi charged Tammy Taylor, 35, of Housatonic, Mass., with driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop on Route 20 in New Lebanon. Troopers say her blood alcohol level was .11%. She was issued tickets to appear in New Lebanon Court.
Drugs/alcohol
The following face drug- and/or alcohol-related charges:
*Susan Halpin, 51, of Coconut Creek, Fla. was charged with failure to signal, driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than .08%. during a traffic stop by Deputies Louis Bray and Peter Grzeskow on State Farm Road, Kinderhook, May 1 at 12:44 a.m. She was released with tickets to appear in Kinderhook Court June 1.
*Philip Perry, 53, of Claverack was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs by Livingston State Police during a traffic stop on Route 217, Claverack, May 6. He was released with tickets returnable in Claverack Court.
*Amber MacArthur, 23, of Philmont was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated by Livingston State Police during an April 30 traffic stop. Police pulled Ms. MacArthur over on Fairview Avenue in Greenport for running a red light and found her to allegedly be driving while impaired by drugs. She also had a child in the car. She was arraigned in Stockport Court and released to appear in Greenport Court at a later date.
*Terry Green, 48, of Springfield, Mass. was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic violations by Livingston State Police during a stop for speeding on State Route 9, Greenport, April 30. He was arraigned in Greenport Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
*Charles Ritch, 57, of Catskill was charged with driving while intoxicated by Livingston State Police on State Route 9 in Clermont May 2. He was released with tickets returnable in Clermont Court.
*Frank Vessio, 45, of Hillsdale was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana by Livingston State Police during a traffic stop on Anthony Street in Hillsdale April 17. He was released with tickets returnable in Hillsdale Court.
