Tough week for Indians softball

RAVENA-COEYMANS-SELKIRK — It was a tough week for the RCS Indians’ softball team.

The week started out with an 18-0 loss last Monday against the Schalmont Sabres in an away game on the RCS diamond.

On Tuesday the team traveled to Ichabod Crane where they fell 27-0 against a strong Riders team.

The home team started out the game strong, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning, and never looked back.

The Indians held the Riders scoreless in the second, but then gave up another five runs to bring the score to 10-0.

The fourth inning was a blowout with the Riders scoring 17 runs.

The Indians gave up 14 hits in the game and 13 walks, and remained scoreless.

On Wednesday the team fell to the Cohoes Tigers by a score of 14-0.
