Three arrested on weapons charges in Coeymans

COEYMANS — Three individuals were arrested and charged with illegal possession of a weapon on the Thruway in the town of Coeymans.

State police from the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit conducted a traffic stop Nov. 20 at around 6:55 p.m. on a 2016 Honda Pilot.

An investigation determined that Jordan Gray, 25, of the Bronx, was driving the vehicle with a suspended license.

Gray and the two passengers, Christopher Gray, 39, of Schenectady, and Danielle Brown, 26, of New York City, were in illegal possession of a loaded Taurus .40 caliber PT940 handgun and brass knuckles, according to a statement from state police.

Jordan and Christopher Gray were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony; third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony; and criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony.

Brown was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony; criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony; and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class A misdemeanor.

The three individuals were arraigned in the Town of Coeymans Court, according to state police. Jordan Gray and Danielle Brown were remanded to the Albany County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. Christopher Gray was remanded to the Albany County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
