The rematch with Glens Falls comes after the Ravens defeated Mechanicville-Hoosic Valley 21-7 on Friday night on their home field.

The Ravens put the first points on the board with a touchdown at the end of the first quarter on a 5-yard run by quarterback Mason Carkner and a successful kick by kicker Cameron D’Ambrosio to give the hometown team a 7-0 lead.

RCS was scoreless in the second quarter and the defense gave up its only touchdown of the game to end the first half in a 7-7 tie.

But the Ravens would not be denied and made their second touchdown of the game with a run into the endzone with 6:42 left in the third quarter to take a 14-7 lead.

The team’s third and final touchdown came after a huge Carkner pass to Gavin Lochner put the Ravens in range and then the running game took over and put the ball into the end zone with 4:11 left in the contest.

That put the score at 21-7, and the Ravens closed out the game with the win.

Carkner, the quarterback, finished the game with 45 rushing yards and a touchdown, and threw for 157 yards on 12 passes, including a touchdown. Lochner had 89 total yards and a touchdown.

The Ravens’ regular and postseason record now stands at 8-2. They will face off against the Glens Falls Black Bears in the championship rematch on Saturday. The Black Bears defeated Tamarac on Friday with a 29-7 win and are undefeated with an 11-0 record on the season.
