RCS grapplers take home win vs. Mohonasen

RAVENA-COEYMANS-SELKIRK — The RCS wrestling team took home another win Tuesday after defeating the Mohonasen Warriors 43-27.

Seven Indians saw victories on the day.

Franky Broadhurst won by major decision against Michael Splunge 11-1 in the 132-pound weight class; Jaequan Jones, competing in the 138-pound category, pinned opponent Zacharyah Strauss in 3:12; Kaden Potter defeated Matt Lofstrom by decision 8-6 in the 145-pound division; and Dominick Brozowki pinned Mohonasen’s Alexander Parent in 0:30 to win in the 152-pound weight class.

In the 160-pound division, Antonio Piscitelli pinned Christopher Diallo in 0:27; Ethan Green pinned Julianna Harden in 1:13 in the 172-pound weight class; and Jayden Holl pinned Hunter Eimers in 1:49 in the 189-pound weight class.

Dominick Maltese won by forfeit in the 215-pound division.

Also competing for the Indians were Rae Jones and Jaymie Carkner.

RCS stands at second place in the Colonial Council with an 11-9 overall record and an in-league record of 4-1.

The Indians wrestling team will next compete in the Section 2 Class CC Tournament, at RCS, on Feb. 4, beginning at 10 a.m.
