RAVENA-COEYMANS-SELKIRK — The RCS Middle School Science Olympiad team ended their season with an impressive third-place finish at the regional competition.
Several students also earned medals in their respective events.
Science Olympiad is a team competition that challenges students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, and seeks to improve STEM education and encourage students’ interest in science and related fields.
The competition teaches leadership and other like skills as well.
“Many of these students balance challenging Honors and Accelerated classes, extracurricular activities, and consistently maintain high honor roll status,” the school district said in a statement. “Well done, team!”
