Sue was born in Albany on Aug. 3, 1933, one of 11 children born to the late Clarence and Mary Ellen Wagner Rockenstire.

Many years ago, she worked as a confectioner at the former Loft’s Candies in Albany. In later years, she was a homemaker, enjoyed keeping up the house and grounds, traveling with her late husband Jerry to North Carolina to their vacation home, and spontaneous car trips around the New York-Vermont-Massachusetts corridor.

Sue is survived by her son, Richard P. (Phyllis) Buckley; daughter-in-law, Lillian (late Peter “P.J.”) Buckley; grandchildren, John Buckley, Leah (Jacob) Uihlein, Lauren Buckley, June Ann Buckley (Andrew Cummings), Franklin Buckley, and Charlotte Mae (Shane) Quenneville; great-grandson, Forest Stannard; siblings, Clarence A. “Butch” Rockenstire and Nancy J. (Curtis) Cunningham; many nieces and nephews.  Sue enjoyed a close relationship with Susie and Dave Dillon and their daughter, Doreen (Anthony) Berner.  A special thank you to her nurse and friend, “Slim”, who always had her back.  In addition to her parents and son, Sue was predeceased by her husband, Gerald R. Weisenburn, who died October 30, 2009; and her siblings, John E., James R., Richard P., and Clarence J. Rockenstire, Joan E. Blakeslee, Gladys M. Salsburg, Mary Ellen Mason, and Shirley A. Salsburg.

Susan has been cremated privately. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by burial of her ashes in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bethlehem.
