Allie Mae Edwards, 84, of Ravena, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024.

The youngest of seven, she was born in Charlotteville, Schoharie County, New York, to her late parents Fird and Polly (Barry) Becker. She married her husband Raymond in 1956 and they had five children in Central Bridge before moving to Ravena in 1971.

Allie was a force to be reckoned with. She could brighten anyone’s day with her quick-witted banter and sense of humor. She loved to spend time outdoors in the sunshine tending to her garden, surrounded by her wind chimes and knick-knacks. She was an avid animal lover, owning many dogs and cats throughout her lifetime. Allie will be remembered as a fierce woman with a strong exterior and a tender heart for her loved ones.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond “Razor” Edwards Sr., brothers Hauser, Clarence and Archie Becker, sister Mary Hendrickson, and daughter Brenda Mae Nowak.

Allie is survived by her brother, Robert Becker and sister, Ethel Meade; her four children, Candance Bender (Jerry) of Greenville, Melody Frederickson (Jeff) of Cortland, Raymond Edwards Jr. (Lorie) of Rensselaer, and Tracy Edwards of Syracuse. She will be deeply missed by all of her grandchildren, Shawn Bender (Rachel), Shana Circe (Michael), Shara Bender, Christian Beaudry, Gabrielle Harvey (Matt), Brittany Simon, Raymond Edwards, Skylor Edwards (Kayla), Preston Lendin (Desiree), Beckie Nowak (Christopher B.), Stevie Nowak (Christopher P.), and Katie Carleton (Jake).

She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, at 11 a.m. at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main Street Schoharie with interment following in the Bramanville Prospect Cemetery and finally a luncheon at Chieftan’s in Cobleskill. Friends may call prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Bramanville Prospect Cemetery in Howes Caves, New York.
