Coeymans:
- Mrs. Kate Baker has had a force of men at work repairing her house on Church Street.
- The third degree will be conferred on a class of candidates at Onesquethau Lodge Monday evening.
- Miss Sarah Lawson fell down a few steps going into her cellar last Friday and sprained her ankle.
- Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Van Woert are spending a month with Mr. and Mrs. Spoor at Athens.
- The Women’s Auxiliary held a card party at Junior Order Hall last Tuesday. Rabbits and ornamental baskets will give an Easter air to the party.
- Miss Marvanna Hazelton and Mrs. Ernest Hartman attended a luncheon at the TenEyck hotel Saturday afternoon under the auspices of the Albany committee interested in foreign affairs.
Ravena:
- Ravena is in the first throes of a building boom. It has been quite a few years since this village has seen as much construction work under way and in prospect as at present.
- A food sale for the benefit of St. Patrick’s Church will be held at Synder Bros.’ store Saturday afternoon.
- The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Whipple is improving after having been seriously ill with pneumonia.
- The Ladies’ Aid Society of the Christian church will hold their experience social and Easter supper on April 22.
- Mrs. A.H. Fuller and Mrs. Lewis Smith have charge of the refreshments for the Ravena Grange meeting next Monday night. It has been designated as a “Southern meeting” and all plans are in accordance with that.
- Miss Alice Boughton will return home for Easter vacation after spending one time at the Home Economics Practice House at Albany in connection with her study at the state college.

- Election of road district officers next Monday afternoon.
- The “dog law” has not as yet been repealed and takes effect May 1.
- We dislike to state it, but it’s noticeable that no American flag floats from the village school building.
- J.E. Stanton has purchased from C.C. Willis a building lot adjoining his property and will erect a residence this spring.
- Mrs. G.H. Shafer would respectfully announce that she has just received a fine assortment of spring millinery. The ladies of Coeymans and vicinity are invited to call at the opening on Thursday and Friday of this week.
- The Democrats in caucus Saturday renominated E.H. Strevell for supervisor; Ferdinand Ward was nominated for town clerk, W.B. Holmes for justice, Jas. I. Schoonmaker for commissioner of highways, Alonzo Southard and Joel Pelton for overseers of poor, Albert Swarthout for collector, and candidates nominated for all the minor offices.
