Coeymans:
- The town scraper did a fine lot of work in the streets of this village and kept the caterpillar tractor and snowplow busy night and day for a short spell to keep the road open and navigation on the highway possible. The streets were all broken through and in a very passable condition with the aid of this modern snow remover. Even the long lane to the cemetery had been placed into traveling condition by the aid of the big snow pusher.
- The Philathea class of the M.E. Sunday School will meet with Mrs. Sydney Cole this Friday evening at the parsonage.
- Mr. and Mrs. Philip Boehm entertained at cards last Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Francis Friday, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Stilan and Mr. and Mrs. Minor Korn.
- The Rev. Bond of Five Points Mission gave an interesting account of the work of the Mission at the evening service in the Methodist church last Sunday.
- Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hartman are visiting in western New York and Brooklyn.
Ravena:
- Prin. S.S. Rice, wife and son, of Albany, visited her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Muller on Sunday.
- Postmaster G.W. Babcock has been under the weather somewhat this week with an attack of rheumatism.
- The Pemberton bus line has been forced to abandon two more trips, the 11:15 from Albany and 12:30 from Coeymans on account of the bad road conditions.
- Pulver Council, No. 19, Jr. O. U. A. M. was well represented at the meeting of Capital City Council, No. 45, in Albany last Saturday night, the special attraction being the presence of the state officials.
- The Loyal Daughters Sunday School class of the Christian church spent Tuesday at the church preparing for their fair on March 6.

- Mr. Charles VanHoesen has purchased a new two-seated light market wagon.
- Several of our poultry raisers are complaining of a disease among their fowls which in many instances has proved fatal.
- The groundhog could have seen his shadow Sunday. We may have six weeks of winter weather.
- The trustees have leased the Carroll building and are having it fitted up for the accommodation of the apparatus of the fire department.
- The Knickerbocker Company had men work on the ice at Baeren Island and Roah Hook on Thursday, breaking off chunks and smoothing the surface of the ice, so that in case of a snowstorm or cold wave it would be in better condition to work.
