RAVENA-COEYMANS-SELKIRK — The girls’ basketball team had a big win at home Saturday afternoon right before the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
The Ravens led the game most of the way against the Ichabod Crane Riders, 45-33.
Hayden Wolfe led the way in scoring for the hometown team, scoring 12 points. Megan Visone was close behind with 11 points. Kendall Bullock scored 9, including one three pointer, and Rae Napierski added 8 to the scoreboard, including two treys.
Also scoring for the Ravens were Laila Rabideau with 3 and Danielle DeLuke with 2.
The Ravens outscored their opponent every quarter of the game. The team set the tone in the first quarter scoring 11 points, and their biggest quarter came in the second period, where the team scored 15. The team followed up after halftime with another 13 and put 6 points on the board in the final quarter.
The Riders’ top scorer of the game was Caroline Rapport with 7 points, with a three-way tie for second highest scorer, with Emma Autry, Aqiana Henry and Maeve Braswell each scoring 6 points apiece.
The Ravens are scheduled to play their next game on Wednesday at home against Hudson, and again on Friday in another home game against Academy of the Holy Names, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
