Girls’ hoops comes up short against LaSalle

RAVENA-COEYMANS-SELKIRK — The Indians’ girls basketball team came up short against the LaSalle Cadets in their second loss of the season.
The Indians fell to La Salle 48-29 in a home game Saturday afternoon, played before the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony in the high school gym.
Patricia Dorrance was the team’s top scorer with 14 on the day, including a three-pointer in each period and one free throw.
Rae Napierski scored 9 points, including a pair of treys and a free throw.
Meagan Visone added 3 points to the team’s total and Kylie Whalen scored 2.
The team’s record went to 0-2 on the season. LaSalle improved to 1-1.
The Indians were next scheduled to play an away game at Cobleskill-Richmondville on Tuesday, too late for press time, and will then play a home game Friday night at 6:30 p.m. against Cohoes.
