
DAYTONA BEACH, FL — Edward L. Luther Jr., 80, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2022, at Emory L. Bennett State Veterans Nursing Home.
Born on April 1, 1942, in Albany, he was the son of the late Edward L. and Margaret (Mastriano) Luther, Sr.
Ed graduated from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, class of 1960. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served six years, two of those years were foreign/sea service.
After being discharged from the Navy, Ed settled in Daytona Beach, Florida, and worked in the insurance business and also was a part time investigator for a law firm until his retirement.
During his many years in Daytona Beach, after his retirement, you could be sure to find him with many friends who referred to him as the “Mayor” at Caribbean Jacks Yacht Club.
He is survived by his brother Robert (Litsa) Luther; a niece Sandra Luther; and a nephew George (Kate) Luther; one grandniece and three grandnephews. Ed is also survived by many cousins.
