GREENPORT–Anna S. Alonge died Saturday, September 26, at her home. She was 78.
Born in Hudson on March 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Maria (DeJoy) Scalera.
Mrs. Alonge was a supervisor at Candy Lane candy factory in Hudson and Poughkeepsie. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel church in Hudson, also St. Joseph’s Church (formerly Holy Family) in Stottville.
She is survived by her husband, Francis A. Alonge, at home; one brothe,r Charles C. Scalera of Greenport; three sisters, Rose M. Allen, Laura Zitto, and Margaret Russo all of Valatie; and many nieces and nephews.
Nephew Raymond W. Allen Jr died previously.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Valenti and Richards Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10 at St. Joseph’s Church in Stottville. Burial will be in the family plot at Cedar Park Cemetery.
