Nicholas Dinardi, 83, security guard for the Fireman’s Home

HUDSON–Nicholas Dinardi of Ghent and formerly of Hudson, died Thursday September 17 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. He was 83.

Born in Mt. Vernon (Westchester County)on July 17, 1926, he was the son of the late Pietro and Allessandra Dinardi.

Mr. Dinardi was a security guard for the Fireman’s Home in Hudson. He was the widower of Anna M. (Hoyt) Dinardi, who died in 2000.

He is survived by one son Nicholas P. (and Karen) Dinardi of Columbiaville, one daughter, Carol (and James) Bartholomew of Claverack; one brother, Thomas Dinardi of Greenport; and three grandchildren, Meghan, Allison and Leslie Dinardi. A brother, Silvio Dinardi, died previously.

A calling hour will be on Wednesday, September 23, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Valenti and Richards Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Hudson. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Charles O’Neill officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson.
