GT.BARRINGTON–Ernest Storti, 98, of Copake, passed away Saturday March 27, 2010 at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was born April 29, 1911 in Great Barrington, a son of Basilo and Lino (Molano) Storti.

Mr. Storti was a highly regarded self-employed mason in the tri-state area and was a former member of the Bricklayers, Masons, Plasterers, Marble, Tile & Terrazzo Workers Union # 6 in New York State.

He was a longtime member of the Craryville Rod and Gun Club and among his passions was fox hunting and raising hounds for that purpose.

His wife, Mary (Graham) Storti, died March 27, 2000. Five siblings also died previously.

Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Louise Palmer-Horton of Lakeville, Conn., and a son, Paul D. Storti of Copake. He also leaves two grandaughters, Melissa Johnson of Carmel and Tamara Mansfield of Kingston along with 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family.
