ALBANY–Kathryn L. Bogarski, 83, of Kinderhook, died Saturday March 13, 2010, at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Albany, December 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Peter Gordon and May (Berlin) Lee.
Mrs. Bogarski was a clerk for the state Dept. of Taxation and Finance and volunteered at Columbia Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a former member of the Stuyvesant Falls VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a communicant of the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant Falls and a member of the 60+ club at the church.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank J. Bogarski Sr.; five children, Karen Bogarski of Delmar, Regina Blair (David) of Nassau, Christine Schermerhorn (Dale) of Philmont, Frank Bogarski Jr. (Aldea) of Ghent, Susan Kmiotek (Paul) of Beacon; two sisters, Jane Knapp and Patricia Ramundo, both of Colonie; three brothers, Peter Gordon Lee Jr. (Helen) of Georgia, Robert E. Lee (Lucy) and Thomas Lee (Michelle), both of Colonie; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her sister Virginia Chaplain died previously.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Church of St. Joseph, Stuyvesant Falls, with Rev. Frank O’Connor officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Stuyvesant Falls. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie, NY.
