Judith Secovnie, 70, enjoyed music, fishing, her animals

HUDSON—Judith  A. Secovnie, 70, of Stuyvesant Falls, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Columbia Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Syracuse on October 13, 1939, she was the eldest daughter of the late Lorraine E. Craver Harbeck and George Burgess.

Her loving husband, James P. Secovnie, died previously.

She was most recently a realtor with the Kinderhook Group and was past president of VERA. She enjoyed music, fishing and her animals.

Surviving are her children, Lisa L Benfield, Daryl E. Wonderly, Jr., H. Thomas Weaver III (Caryn); her sisters, Jill Gallagher (Michael), Jeanne Salerno (Joseph) and Lois Dorschel (Martin); three grand-children, Christopher Thomas Benfield, Jenna Weaver and Joseph Weaver;  and many nieces and nephews.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie, with burial at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church columbarium later this spring.
