GHENT–Gordon H. Mottoshiski, 74, died Saturday, January 16, 2010 at his residence.
Born September 17, 1935 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Stevens) Mottoshiski.
Mr. Mottoshiski was a welder at W. B. McGuire in Hudson.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Edmond’s Hose Fire Company, the Livingston Fire Company, the Edsel International Club, the N.Y. State Edsel Owners Club, and a past member of the Columbia County Car Club.
Mr. Mottoshiski enjoyed weight lifting, music, playing his harmonica and guitar, and taking his 1959 Edsel to car shows.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Felpel) Mottoshiski; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Donald Sanders of Claverack and Susan and Dennis Jenrich of Stuyvesant; a grandson, Devin Gordon Jenrich of Stuyvesant; three brothers, Martin Mottoshiski, Jr. of Stottville, William Mottoshiski of Hudson, and Alan (James) Mottoshiski of Franklin; four sisters, Shirley Mottoshiski and Jeanette Mottoshiskie, both of Stottville, Joan Martin of Red Hook, and Ann Mitchell of Ghent, several nieces and nephews; and two step-grandchildren, Donald Sanders, Jr. and Tabetha Piche.
Two brothers, Ronald and Samuel, and one sister, Elizabeth Tormey, died previously.
Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home.
Burial will be in the West Ghent Cemetery.
