Jack Weaver, 84, Gallatin poultry farmer

LAKELAND, Fla.–Jack A. Weaver, 84, a lifelong resident of Gallatin, passed away on December 30, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

He was born on October 24, 1925 in Gallatin, the son of the late Avery and Hazel (Thompson) Weaver.

Mr. Weaver was owner and operator of a poultry farm.

Mr. Weaver enjoyed his retirement years between Gallatin and Heatherwood Village in Lakeland, where he served on the association board. He was an avid golfer, bowler and lived life to the fullest.

On September 9, 1950 in Stanfordville he married Marjorie (Bird) Weaver. She survives at home.

In addition to his loving wife, Marge, survivors include two sons, Drew and his wife Denise Weaver of Gallatin and  Doug Weaver of Pine Plains; son-in-law Dave Bessette of Pine Plains; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A brother, Hugh Weaver; a sister, Helen Kilmer;and a daughter, Dale Bessette, died previously.

Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home South Main Street, Pine Plains.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
