James R. Kreitner (1946 – 2015)
KINDERHOOK—James R. Kreitner, born August 29, 1946, passed away in his Kinderhook home surrounded by his loving family, October 16, 2015.
He is survived by his adored wife, Carrie (Borghi) Kreitner and his mother, Margaret Kreitner.
He was predeceased by both his father, James H. and his brother, Thomas Kreitner.
Mr. Kreitner and his wife shared a blended loving family of eight children: Kelly (Kevin Jachimowicz) Wilkins, Staci (Troy Halsdorf) Grandy, Nicole (Gerald) Angelou, James (Amber) Kreitner, Stacey (Trevor) Bean, Jocelyn Cappozzo, Glen Cappozzo and Lindsay Cappozzo. He loved his 11 grandchildren: Brett and Meghan Wilkins, Ethan, Ryan and Lauren Grandy, Emma, Joshua and Jacob Angelou, Isabella, RaylieAnne and Mason Kreitner. Summer parties by the pool were always made special by these children.
Mr. Kreitner is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue (John) Wilhelm, Patty (Ronnie) Wolf and Karen (Mark) Whitbeck; several nieces and nephews.
One of Mr. Kreitner’s greatest accomplishments was becoming a physician’s assistant after a 25-year career in the insurance industry with Prudential.
Mr. Kreitner had a passion for gardening and cooking. He spent countless hours tending his garden. From seed to plate, Mr. Kreitner put his heart into planting, harvesting, cooking and preserving for his family. He loved scenic rides with his wife on his motorcycle and vacationing by the ocean. Mr. Kreitner “was surrounded by his family until the end and will be missed until we all meet again.”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 21, 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Route 9, Valatie, with the Reverend Dan Quinn officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie. Memorial contributions may be made to the New York Oncology Hematology Community Cancer Foundation.
Walter J. Drobnicki (1932 – 2015)
KINGSTON—Walter J. Drobnicki, Jr., 82, of Germantown passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 in Kingston.
Born November 11, 1932 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Walter and Rose (Pinkowski) Drobnicki.
Mr. Drobnicki served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was employed as a printer at the Universal Match factory for many years. He was devoted to his church and his family. He was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Church in Stottville.
Mr. Drobnicki is survived by: his wife, Gladys (Harring) Drobnicki; his son, Walter, III; three daughters, Kim Harring, Loretta Accumanno and Veronica Mercuri; his sister, Betty Druba; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Peggy L. Hanlon (1957 – 2015)
GREENPORT—Peggy L. Hanlon, 58, of Greenport passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side.
She was born June 13, 1957 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late Ernest and Claire (Erickson) White.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin J. Hanlon, Sr.
Mrs. Hanlon worked at Burger King, Eden Park, Barnwell, the Firemen’s Home, where she was a unit clerk, and for First Niagara Bank in Greenport as a bank teller. She enjoyed family gatherings, loved the beach, especially the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and was an avid NASCAR fan. She was a life-member of the Hudson Moose Lodge.
Surviving are: her devoted children, Wayne (Dana) Smith of Catskill, Lisa Smith of Hudson, Mary (Ronald) Oakley of Philmont and Kevin (Casey) Hanlon of Hudson; 13 loving grandchildren; her siblings, Penny (Reed) Neer of Copake, Ernie White of Hudson, Sharon White of Hudson, John (Cathy) White of Claverack, Diane (Phil) Elliot of Maryland, and Debbie Ellison of Virginia.
A memorial service was held Saturday, October 17 at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.

Bruce Hotaling, Sr. (1949 – 2015)
ALBANY—Bruce Hotaling, Sr., 65, of Greenport passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Hudson October 29, 1949, he was the son of William and Mary (Proper) Hotaling.
Mr. Hotaling proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, earning the Army Commendation Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star, the Combat Infantryman Badge 1ST Award, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon W/Device (1960), and the Expert Badge with Rifle Bar.
He was employed in the assembly department at L & B Corp. Mr. Hotaling loved his family and was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are: his loving wife, Rosemary (Doty) Hotaling; five children, Bruce, Jr., Frank, Anna, Chuck and Wally; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his siblings, Billy, Donnie, Dottie and Joy; several nieces, and nephews.

Judith A. Schleimer (1943 – 2015)
HUDSON—Judith A. Schleimer, 72, of Albany passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1943 in Falmouth, New Hampshire.
Mrs. Schleimer was employed at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance in Albany for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Schleimer in 2000.
Mrs. Schleimer is survived by: her brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Diana Davidson of the State of Washington; her nephew and his wife, Warren and Chris Dorsch of Claverack; several other close relatives, her devoted friend, Robert Strickland of Stephentown and many friends.

Cory A. Velazquez (1987 – 2015)
HUDSON—Cory A. Velazquez, 27, of Hudson died suddenly Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born December 14, 1987 in Hudson, he was the son of Zenaida Velazquez-Kameni and Delroy Williams.
Mr. Velazquez worked at various jobs in the Hudson area.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his brother, Severin Velazquez-Kameni; the mother of his children, Mollie Merante; his son, Camdyn Velazquez; his daughter, Jadalynn Velazquez; his aunt and uncle, Doug and Olga Robinson; several other aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family and friends.
Funeral services were held October 19 at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson. Burial was in Cedar Park Cemetery.
