Elizabeth Amoruso (1924 – 2015)
HUDSON—Elizabeth Amoruso, 91, of Hudson died June 26, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Health. She was originally from Mamaroneck.
Ms. Amoruso was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She devoted her entire life to her children and grandchildren. She cleaned homes and buildings professionally. She worked long and hard until she was in her 70s. She will be remembered for her witty personality and her charismatic style.
Ms. Amoruso is survived by: her daughter, Linda Parker and her husband John Parker; her grandsons, Benjamin Miller (ex-wife Tammy Miller and Christine Ingham), John Parker, Jr., (husband Kevin Martin) and Joseph Parker (s.o. Trish Novak); her great-grandchildren, Edwin Miller, Robert Miller, Matthew Miller, Aleyna Parker, Jasmine Miller, Joseph Parker, Jr. and her great-great-granddaughter, Faith Lentz. She is also survived by her niece, Patty Bloom as well as many others she adopted into her heart.
Ms. Amoruso’s services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015, 9:30 a.m. at the Bates & Anderson Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson. A visiting time will precede the service at 9 a.m. Burial in Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye follows. All are welcome to join the family there.
Sandra L. Owen (1954 – 2015)
HUDSON—Sandra L. Owen, 61, of Germantown passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born May 2, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Gifford and Colleen (Hanson) Dallas.
Mrs. Owen was the manager of the Stewart’s Shop in Germantown.
She is survived by: her husband, John Owen; children, Cassandra Owen and Logan Owen; grandson, Carter Owen; sisters, Janet Macfarlane and Cathy Dallas; brothers-in-law, Robert Macfarlane, Larry Heath and Ken Owen; many nieces and nephews; lifelong best friends, Irene and John Moore, Camdyn Craver; many other friends and loved ones.
She was predeceased by her sister, Colette Heath.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, July 1, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Yadack Fox Funeral Home, 209 Main Street in Germantown.
