Cynthia A. Schiller (1960 – 2020)
CLERMONT—Cynthia A. Schiller, 59, of Clermont passed away peacefully at home February 5, 2020.
She was born December 31, 1960, the daughter of Hugh and Doris (Martens) Stuart. “Cindy” graduated from Germantown High School before going on to SUNY Cobleskill where she met her husband, Mark. She attended Russel Sage prior to obtaining her master’s degree from SUNY New Paltz. On September 26, 1981, she and Mark were married. Together they raised two wonderful children.
Mrs. Schiller was a teacher at Taconic Hills Central School for 23 years prior to her retirement. She had a genuine love for children and would do anything for her students. Through her years at Taconic Hills she was instrumental in holding the Veteran’s Day Assembly to honor veterans. She was a swim coach for the Northern Dutchess Aquatic Club at Bard College.
She was president and the founding member of the Hudson Valley Blue Star Mothers. She loved to travel, especially to any place with sun and sand. She loved to garden, read, sew and cook.
Mrs. Schiller is survived by: her devoted husband of 38 years, Mark Schiller; her two children, Daniel Schiller and Matthew and his wife Emma Schiller; her loving grandson, Hudson Schiller; her brothers, Mark, Timothy and Steven Stuart; her sister, Amy Brock; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2020, 11 a.m. from Christ Lutheran Church Viewmont, 599 Church Avenue, Germantown. Burial will follow at Viewmont Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, February 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.

Teresa M. Okolowich (1919 – 2020)
PHILMONT—Teresa “Terry” M. Okolowich passed away February 3, 2020 at Pine Haven Nursing Home after having enjoyed 100 years and 6 months in our midst.
She arrived in the Chatham area in 1949 with her husband, Thomas and her daughter, Terry.
She was an assistant scout leader and enjoyed and collected antique dolls and toys.
She is survived by: her daughter, Terry Okolowich; her sister, Cecilia Kominski; many nieces and nephews.
