Paulette V. Riegel (1949 – 2014)
HUDSON—Paulette V. Riegel, 65, of Philmont died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
She was born October 9, 1949 in Hudson, the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Snyder) Whitbeck.
For the last 20 years she lived in Silver Springs, FL, until recently moving back to Philmont.
She is survived by: her husband, William Riegel, Sr.; her son, William (Shirley) Riegel, Jr.; two daughters, Wendy Riegel (fiancé Ron Hicks) and Roberta (William) Lovett; her grandchildren, Kaitlin and Kayla Riegel, Donavon Rubinstein and Joshua Crusan; two brothers, Chuck and Carl Albertsson and many other close family members.

Robert W. Jones (1922 – 2014)
WEST LEBANON—Robert W. Jones, 92, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at his home with his family at his side.
He was the beloved husband of Alice L. Cole Jones.
He was born in Brooklyn, October 8, 1922, the son of the late Herbert F. and Madeline Goeler Jones.
He was a graduate of Haaron High School in New York City, Oswego State College with a bachelor’s degree and Albany State College with a master’s degree.
He was employed from 1948 to 1978 as an industrial arts teacher at Berkshire Farm Union Free School and later at Bethlehem High School in Delmar. He was also employed at Ceramaseal in West Lebanon. At one time, Mr. Jones was responsible for patiently teaching most of the women in the Lebanon Valley how to drive a car.
A first lieutenant with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, Mr. Jones served his country as a bomber pilot. He was a member of the Church of Our Savior in Lebanon Springs, the Lenox Club and the Old Chatham Hunt Club.
Mr. Jones enjoyed playing golf, reading the newspaper, entertaining, traveling and doing crossword puzzles. He will be truly missed.
In addition to his wife, Alice, he is survived by: his children, Eunice J. (John) Young of Timonium, MD, Barbara A. Graham of San Jose, CA, Donna J. (Michael) Gillen of Magnolia, MA, Karen E. (Thomas) Coleman of Falcon, CO, Herbert F. (Darlene) Jones of Brainard and Patricia E. (Jeffrey) Gardner of Fuera Bush; 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eunice M. Smith Jones; his son, Robert W. Jones, Jr.; and his siblings, Jean Jones and Edward F. Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 8 noon at the Church of Our Savior, 14660 Route 22, Lebanon Springs, with the Reverend Canon Clinton Dugger officiating. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to noon and a reception will follow the service. Both events are at the Fellowship Hall adjoining the church. Burial of cremains will be in a family plot in Lawrence Brook Cemetery in South Royalston, MA, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene, Berkshire Humane Society, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to Alzheimer’s Association.

Eleanor Kucharczyk (1929 – 2014)
PHILMONT—Eleanor Kucharczyk of Chatham passed away November 4, 2014 at Pine Haven Nursing Home.
Born February 17, 1929 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Maria Czarnecki Kucharczyk.
She grew up and was educated in New York City. In 1970 she moved to Chatham. She had worked as a waitress and later worked at Berkshire Farm in the food service area.
She was a private lady who enjoyed cooking.
Ms. Kucharczyk is survived by: her sister, Blanche Walla; brother, Thadeus Kucharczyk; nephew, Philip Deck and great-nephew Christopher Deck.
She was predeceased by her sister, Adamina E. Deck and niece, Adamina C. Deck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 8, 10 a.m. in St. James Church, Chatham. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Ghent.
