Margaret A. Morehouse (1945 – 2017)
ALBANY—Margaret A. Morehouse, 71, of North Chatham passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Elizabethtown, (Essex County), March 9, 1945, she was the daughter of the late T. Aubrey and Clara (Edmonds) Gough.
Mrs. Morehouse was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
She will be missed by: her son, Patrick Morehouse of North Chatham; three daughters, Audrey and (Russell) Bell of Valatie, Kathy and (William) Morehouse-Harrison of North Chatham, Victoria and (Jack) Repka of Chatham Center; brothers, Harold and David Gough; one sister, Sylvia Ramm; grandchildren, Jonathon Gough, Maggie Pulver, William Morehouse, Ashley Morehouse, Keith Pulver, Jr., Daniel Repka, Krista (Wilkens) Rapan, Leah Wilkins; great-grandchildren, Tristen Pulver and Maeson Sackett; many nieces, nephews and many lifetime friends. She was predeceased by the love of her life, John Morehouse; brother, James Gough; sister, Alice Blish; nephews, Bobby Ramm and Leonard Blish.
Per her request there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be planned and announced in the future. Arrangements are with Sacco-McDonald-Valenti Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport. Memorial contributions may be made to Audrey Bell, 125 West Shore Drive, Valatie 12184.
Doris M. Gilmore (1927 – 2017)
HAGERSTOWN, MD—Doris Mae Gilmore, 89, formerly of Valatie, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Broadmore Senior Living.
Born December 27, 1927 in Traverse City, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Andrew L. and Edna E. Jackson of Traverse City, MI.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, as well as sewing, and writing poetry. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Valatie where she participated in many church and community activities. She was also a member of the Columbia Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a volunteer at Second Show in Hudson, and a member of the Fortnightly Club. In addition to her many clubs and activities, Mrs. Gilmore spent many hours working with her beloved husband, Jim at the Ecumenical Food Pantry in Valatie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James H. Gilmore; an infant son, John Stuart Gilmore; two sisters, Mary Louise Hall and Patricia Hippensteel, and a brother, Francis Jackson.
Mrs. Gilmore is survived by: three daughters, Sandra E. Kelly of Saratoga Springs, Pamela L. Ungerer of Hagerstown, MD, Susan L. Lionetto and husband Elliot Lionetto of Mont Vernon, NH; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Suzanne McAtee of Traverse City, MI, and a brother, James Jackson of Wyoming, MI.

Calling hours will be at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, in Valatie, Thursday, March 16, 2017 between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2017, 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 3212 Church Street, Valatie, followed by the burial at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Valatie.
There will be a fellowship reception for family and friends with refreshments immediately following at the First Presbyterian Church in Valatie.
