Christina “Tina” A. Montie (1946 – 2015)
HUDSON—Christina A. Montie, 68, of Ashland and formerly of Stuyvesant, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born October 8, 1946 in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Christine (Martello) Paries.
She was a home health aide for Columbia County and enjoyed showing horses, going to horse shows and was a leader of the Breeches and Chaps 4-H Club in Stuyvesant. She was also involved with therapeutic horseback riding for the disabled. She was a life member and former president and treasurer of the Stuyvesant Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She and her husband, David had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by: her husband, David M. Montie: a daughter, Davia Montie of Ashland; a son, Steven Montie of Stuyvesant; three grandchildren, Andrew, Brandon and Faith Montie; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister and a brother.
Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.

George E. Wendover, Jr. (1961 – 2015)
MILAN—George E. Wendover Jr., 53, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015.
He was born August 8, 1961 in Rhinebeck, the son of the late Maryanne (McDonald) and George E. and step-mother Eileen Wendover, Sr., of Milan.
Mr. Wendover had several pet animals around the house and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He worked for the Laborer’s Union 1000 in Poughkeepsie.
In addition to his father and step-mother, survivors include: his companion of 26 years, Ranira Sanabria of Milan; a brother, Donald Wendover of Milan; a sister, Angeleen Craft of Germantown; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside services were held Saturday, August 8, noon at Stanford Cemetery in Stanfordville with the Reverend Andy Smith officiating.

Bruce L. Whiteman (1938 – 2015)
ALBANY—Bruce L. Whiteman, 76, of Chatham passed away August 7 at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness. Born November 15, 1938 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Raymond and Noreen Aldrich Whiteman.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty; his daughters, Jaimee (Kevin) Boehme of Chatham, Kimberley (Keith) Wheeler of Milan; his son, Bruce Butch (Diane) Whiteman of Craryville; grandchildren, Ian (Stephnie) Boehme, Ryen Boehme, Heather, Ashley and Grayson Wheeler and Anthony, Tricia and Annie Whiteman; sisters, Mary Jane Walsh of North Chatham and Noreen Mickey (Mike) Knox of Pleasant Valley; sister-in-laws, Susan (David) Prior, Darlene Bell and Gloria Shook; many nieces, nephews and a large extended family of cousins.
He graduated Chatham High School and went on to Albany Business College. Later he attended Beltone Hearing School of Business and then the Municipal Police Training School as a member of the class of 1978.
Mr. Whiteman worked for 55 years as a hearing aid consultant, retiring in 2015. He spent 17 years with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office in marine patrol. He was the past chief and 54 year member of the Spencertown Fire Company. He worked several years to get Spencertown’s original 1931 Seagraves fire truck back for the company.
Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham, Monday, August 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home Tuesday, August 11 at 2 p.m. with interment at Spencertown Cemetery.
