Daniel F. Medici (1992 – 2020)

CLAVERACK—Daniel F. Medici, 28, of Claverack passed away at his home Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Born July 6, 1992 in Danbury, CT, he was the son of Brenda (Chamberlain) Hyatt and the late Daniel Medici.

Mr. Medici was a prep cook at the Swiss Hutte in Hillsdale. He enjoyed fishing, and was a loving, devoted father to his son, Aries.

He is survived by: his mother and stepfather, Brenda and Mark Hyatt; his son, Aries, and brothers, Seth Medici and John DiBernardo.

Robert Domigan (1931 – 2020)

VALATIE—Robert “Bob” Domigan, 89, of Valatie passed away December 16, 2020 at home with his family by his side.

He was born in Queens to the late William Domigan and Blanche (Bizgia) Lippert July 18, 1931.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving four years as a gunners mate on the U.S.S. Joyce De-Der17. Mr. Domigan was a shift dupervisor at Crellins Plastics/Albany International for 25 years before retirement.

Survivors include: his beloved wife of 66 years, Barbara; his children, Donna, Patrick, Brian (Barbara) and Jennifer. He was the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He loved raising and showing collies and shelties as the owner of the Val-Kin Dog Kennels. He enjoyed fishing and watching Nascar, particularly Jeff Gordon. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren race go-karts, continuing into sprint car racing. He had a green thumb for vegetable gardening and planting flowers. His all-time favorite activity was dancing with his wife, Barbara.

Michael Baker

Michael J. Baker (1976 – 2020)

CHATHAM—Michael J. Baker, 44, died December 17, 2020 at his home in Chatham.

Born February 22, 1976 in Hudson, “Mike” graduated from Chatham High and enlisted in the United States Navy. It was there he became a cook. He was currently employed as a cook at The Blue Plate in Chatham.

He is predeceased by his father, Francis Baker and his grandmother, Esther Van Alstyne. He is survived by: his mother, Margaret (Peg) Mead; sister, Esther Pitkin (Cory); brother, Christian Leahy; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and other family members.

Also known as, “Gino” by many, he had three families: his blood relatives; his “Blue Plate” family and his greatest love (besides his mom), his Rocky Horror family.

Larry Walker

Larry D. Walker (1942 – 2020)

CLAVERACK—Larry D. Walker, 78, of Claverack passed away December 16, 2020 in the comfort of his home.

Born July 6, 1942 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Rote) Walker.

He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1960, and continued his education at Hudson Valley Community College, earning a degree in forensic science.

Mr. Walker owned Walker/Schmidt Electric and served the City of Hudson as a detective from 1966 to 1990.

He was a life-member of Hudson Elks Lodge #787.

He lived a “colorful” life, full of stories that he loved to tell (often repeatedly) to friends and family, and anyone else who would listen. He was well-respected and loved by many.

Mr. Walker is survived by: the love of his life, Barbara “Bobbi” Bush; his children, Tracy Starr, Lorri Parry, Dennis Walker, Michelle Walker and Jennifer Walker (Mark Tomaso); two stepsons, Mathew and Christian Bush; and seven grandchildren. He recently got to meet his first great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, James L. Walker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Trinity St. Mary’s Parish, Hudson, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hudson City PBA (Memorial Fund), 701A Union Street, Hudson 12534.
