Jamont M. McClendon (1983 – 2019)
HARTFORD, CT—Jamont McDonald McClendon, 35, of Hudson died May 19, 2019 following a respiratory illness at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT.
Born in Hudson, November 18, 1983, he was the son of James M. McClendon and the late Barbara A. (Coleman) McClendon. Mr. McClendon was a tent installer with Big Top Tent Rentals in Cairo.
Funeral services were held at the Rock Solid Church, 334 Union Street, Hudson, Sunday, May 26, 2019. Arrangements were with the Sacco-McDonald-Valenti Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport. Catherine C. Culleton (1939 – 2019)
COPAKE LAKE—Catherine C. Culleton, 79, of County Route 7, Copake Lake passed at her residence Friday, May 24, 2019 after a long illness.
She was born October 14, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ, a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Hoffman) Doring.
Mrs. Culleton was a local resident since 1969 and was employed at the Swiss Hutte in Hillsdale. She later worked at Great Barrington Health and Rehabilitation for more than 20 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert in 1990; a son, Joseph in 1992 and by five siblings.
Survivors include: her children and their spouses, Michael and Angie Culleton of Jacksonville, FL, Dennis and Toni Culleton of Ashland, NY, and Kristine and Ezzie Link of Copake Lake. She also leaves six grandchildren, Aubree Vandenberg, Amber Culleton, Lysandra Braden, Aleshia Link, Michelle Link and Kathleen Link; three great-grandchildren, Finn Vandenberg, Nash Vandenberg and Skylar Braden; a sister and brother-in-law, Joanie and Theodore Sobolewski of Micco, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited and may call Thursday May 30, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22 in Copake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 31, 2019, 10 a.m. from the Parish of Our Lady of Hope, 8074 State Route 22 in Copake Falls.
Interment will follow in new St. Bridget’s Cemetery.

Jane W. Miller (1933 – 2019)
HILLSDALE—Jane W. Miller, 86, of Route 22 died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Born January 5, 1933 in Copake, she was the daughter of the late Herbert P. and Susan M. Wilsey.
An artist by nature, she mastered many art forms. Basket weaving, stitch work and painting were among them. Following her 20+ year employment as cafeteria manager in the Roeliff Jansen Central School District, her love of art led her to open Ja-Lin Crafts, where she taught a variety of classes.
She was a member of the Copake Methodist Church and served as a teaching assistant for her daughter in recent years at Teri’s Kool Kidz Pre-Skool.
Her family was very important to her and she fulfilled her role as mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with unconditional love. Her passion for cooking and baking was one of the many ways she shared her kindness. During regular family gatherings at their summer camp on Copake Lake or at her home, Mrs. Miller always made all of her guests feel welcomed.
She is survived by: her husband, Lindy G. Miller; a son, Lindy G. Miller, Jr., of Austerlitz; two daughters, Teri S. (Larry) Proper of Copake and Lisa (Paul) Marcel of Mill River, MA; nine grandchildren, Case G. of San Jose, CA, Douglas J. and Hailey A. Miller of Belmont, CA, Todd L. of Brooklyn, Ryan B. of Claverack, Andrew M. of Gales Ferry, CT, and Bridgette S.L. Proper of Schenectady, Lindy-Ann and Jennifer E. Marcel, both of Brooklyn; three great-grandchildren, Mateo Miller, Alex and Wesley Proper; many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Harold Wilsey.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 3, 10 a.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake, where friends may call Sunday, June 2, 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be in the Copake Cemetery. Express condolences at www.peckandpeck.net.
