Russell R. Lockenwitz (1950 – 2018)
RENSSELAER—Russell R. Lockenwitz, Sr., 68, of Schenectady passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Pittsfield, MA.
Mr. Lockenwitz was owner of the Bits And Pieces Furniture Store in Albany. He enjoyed storage auctions and going to the casino. He enjoyed his time with his “gumba,” Tyler.
Mr. Lockenwitz is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Catherine M. Coons; five children, Melissa Dalton (Shawn), Russell Lockenwitz, Jr., Catherine Lockenwitz, Frank Lockenwitz (Jessica) and Stephanie Abuzaid; three sisters, Janice Murphy, Yvonne (Rick) Schuman and Rose (Dave) Gambacorta; one brother, Albert Charron (Sandy); 10 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Catherine (Charron) Lockenwitz; his brothers, Charles Lockenwitz, Kevin Lockenwitz and Robert Charron; and sister, Marilyn Garrison.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Monday, March 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. at the William J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Hospice.
Lee V. Fingar (1938 – 2018)
ALBANY—Lee V. Fingar, 79, of Chatham died Sunday, March 25 at St. Peter’s Hospital.
He was born August 31, 1938 in Potsdam, the son of the late Victor and Louise (Templeton) Fingar.
He graduated from Ichabod High School and lived in Kinderhook, Valatie, Spencertown and most recently, Chatham.
For many years Mr. Fingar was employed with Bill Palmer, electrician, before going on his own for many years.
He was a longtime member of the Valatie Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing, trap-shooting and hunting.
Mr. Fingar is survived by: his wife, Ruthann (Cook) Fingar of Chatham; children, Lee Fingar, Jr., and Lois Fingar, both of Ballston Spa, Rosco Fingar of Galaway and Debra Patnaude; stepchildren, Raymond Nawrocki of Belview, NE, and Jodi Wilson of East Chatham; brother, Victor Fingar and sister, Lois Forst Fingar of CA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Fingar.
A funeral service will be held from the Wenk Funeral Home, 21 Payn Avenue, Chatham, Friday, March 30, 11 a.m. with interment at the West Ghent Cemetery.
