Michael D. LaBelle (1956 – 2018)

HUDSON—Michael David LaBelle, 61, of Claverack died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Born August 4, 1956 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Stephen and Carol (Shufelt) LaBelle.

He was an electrician, who owned and operated MDL Enterprises of Claverack until becoming disabled.

Survivors include: his son, Jon LaBelle of Claverack; a sister, Sandy Johnson; two nephews and a niece.

There are no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Germantown.

Maryann G. Weber (1936 – 2018)

VALATIE—Maryann Greene Weber, 81, of Valatie passed away peacefully January 14, 2018.

Born September 20, 1936 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, she was the daughter of Harry Bernard Greene and Ella Roxanna Reed. She grew up in Venice, Florida, and graduated from Florida University with a degree in journalism. She was a book editor in New York City. Her passions were gardening, writing mystery novels, travel and music. She published four novels.

She was a longtime member of the Kinderhook Garden Club and served as president; a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, District III; a Master Gardener with Cooperative Extension; a board member of the Ghent Playhouse and a board member of the Valatie Free Library.

She is survived by: her husband, Gerhard W. Weber. She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Nicole Weber. She is also survived by her adopted family, Robert C. Carruth, Diana Carruth and their children Lauren, Adrienne and Robert W.

Calling hours will be held Friday, January 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ghent Playhouse, 6 Town Hall Drive, Ghent 12075.
