Jane G. Knox (1929 – 2018)

COPAKE—Jane (Grube) Knox, 88, of Copake passed peacefully at her residence, Thursday, April 19, 2018.

She was born September 16, 1929 in Brooklyn and moved to Copake at a young age.

She was the daughter of William and Anna Grube.

Mrs. Knox was employed as a customer service representative at Key Bank in Copake for more than 40 years. She and her late husband, Charles, were avid collectors of antique oil lamps and sugar shakers and were members of the Lamplighter’s Club.

Mrs. Knox was an active member of the Church of St. John in the Wilderness in Copake Falls and served as past treasurer and member of its Altar Guild.

On April 21, 1956 at St. John’s, she married Charles H. Knox, who predeceased her in 2013.

She is survived by: her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Rose Knox of Ghent and her granddaughter, Ashley and husband Eric Schaible of Clifton Park.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 11 a.m. from the Church of St. John in the Wilderness, 261 State Route 344 in Copake Falls with the Reverend John Thompson officiating.

Calling hours will be private.

Interment will follow the service in St. John’s Cemetery.

Pamella D. Meehan (1941 – 2018)

CHATHAM—Pamella D. Meehan, 76, of Chatham died April 13, 2018 at her home.

She was born July 27, 1941 in Hudson and was a graduate of Ockawamick High School class of 1958. She was the wife of the late James C. Meehan, who died in 2001.

Mrs. Meehan retired as Philmont Village Clerk and also the Philmont and Chatham Pharmacy. She was a past member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Chatham Fire Department Auxiliary, and member of the Chatham American Legion Post #42 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by: stepsons, William, James and John Meehan; one stepdaughter, Barbara Fisher; her sister, Yvonne Slominski; grandchildren, Steven, Thomas and Katie Meehan, Brian and Matthew Fisher and Chris Christiana and other family and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, her remains will be buried with her husband in Mellenville Union Cemetery at a later date. Graveside committal prayers will be in Mellenville Union Cemetery Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2 p.m.

In her memory, she requested donations to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, 111 Humane Society Road, Hudson 12534.
