Ralph H. Kilmer, Sr. (1927 – 2014)
HODSON—Ralph H. Kilmer, Sr., 87, of Gallatin passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 22, 1927 in Gallatin, the son of Richard and Anna (Simmons) Kilmer, Sr.
Mr. Kilmer was a rewinder operator at the Kimberly-Clark Paper Mill in Ancram.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947.
On February 21, 1952 in Gallatin, he married Lorraine (Sulkey) Kilmer. She survives him at home.
In addition to his loving wife of 62 years, survivors include: a son, Ralph H. Kilmer, Jr., and his wife Sandy of Ancramdale; two daughters, Rosemarie Kilmer of Gallatin and Bonnie Lilley and her husband, Tommy of Ancram; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Linda Parditka, Shirley Rivenburgh and Myrtle Jennings; nine brothers, Robert, Richard, Jr., Arthur, Roger, Raymond, Harry and Stanley.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn Marie Kilmer, February 15, 2002. He was also predeceased by a sister, Mildred Hagadone, and three brothers, Donald, Chucky and Kenny.
A funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Clara M. Kratt (1920 – 2014)
HUDSON—Clara M. Kratt, 94, a longtime resident of East Chatham died Tuesday, December 30 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 8, 1920 in Austerlitz, the daughter of the late Franklin and Hattie (Pinnie) McCagg.
She graduated from Williams High School in Massachusetts and moved to East Chatham in 1957. She was employed at B.H. Delson’s in Chatham as a sales clerk for several years and later worked as an operator for the Taconic Telephone Corporation in Chatham for 30 years. She retired in 1982.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Frederick Kratt in 2005.
She is survived by: her daughter, Marlene Allamillo of Ghent; sons, John Kratt of Chatham Center, Richard Kratt of Ghent, Wayne Kratt of East Chatham and Martin Kratt of Austerlitz; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by her brothers, Clarence and Harry McCagg.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 3, 10 a.m. from the Wenk Funeral Home, 21 Payn Avenue, Chatham. Inurnment will be in the family plot in Cemetery of The Maples. There are no calling hours.

Harold T. Powell, Jr. (1938 – 2015)
HUDSON—Harold T. Powell Jr., 76, of Hudson died January 1, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born April 22, 1938 in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Harold T. and Cora (Thomas) Powell, Sr.
Mr. Powell was a Capitol police officer in Albany and retired as a state trooper when they took over from the police at the Capitol. He was also retired from the 109th Air National Guard Reserves in Scotia. He was a member of the Tri-Village Rod & Gun Club in Valatie, the Kinderhook Elks Lodge #2530 and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by: his wife, Shirley (Gardner) Powell; three children, Jeffrey Powell (Allyson) of Latham, Wendy Powell of West Sand Lake and Jody Smith (Chris) of Philmont; two sisters, Jeanette Knott (Donald) of Chatham and Judith Powell of Niverville; one brother, Robert Powell of Florida; six grandchildren, Samantha, Anthony, Christopher, Jordan, Cassidy and Abigail and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John Powell.
Funeral services will be held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie, Wednesday, January 7, 7 p.m., with the Reverend Stark Jones officiating.

Frank M. Etchegary (1921 – 2015)
LIVINGSTON—Frank M. Etchegary, 93, of Claverack, a former longtime resident of Torrington, CT, passed away January 1, 2015 at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born November 22, 1921 in Highbury, Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of John and Florence (Parry) Etchegary.
Mr. Etchegary and his wife, Mildred, moved to Claverack in 1997 from Torrington. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Torrington Company, a manufacturer of auto and airplane parts.
He proudly served his country with the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Etchegary was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #974 in Torrington for more than 40 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Mildred Etchegary of Claverack; sons, John Etchegary of Waterbury, CT, and Bruce Etchegary of Torrington; three grandchildren, Emily and Jennifer Etchegary of Torrington and Traci Wells of Harwinton, CT, along with two great-grandchildren, Sonya and Devon Wells also of Harwinton.
He was predeceased by two children, Alan Etchegary and Gail Etchegary.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
