Faline C. Kiablick (1965 – 2020)

AUSTERLITZ—Faline C. (Leonard) Kiablick of Austerlitz passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 27, 2020 at the age of 55.

She was born to parents Carol Fullam and Allen Leonard January 7, 1965 in Springfield, VT. She grew up in Springfield and attended Springfield High School and graduated in 1983. On November 4, 1989, she married the love of her life, William M. Kiablick. During her life she raised her four children, worked in various retail positions including at Price Chopper and Dunkin. She most recently worked as a manager at Subway in Canaan. She had a great sense of humor was always looking to have fun. She loved spending time with her family like motorcycle rides with her husband, camping, boating and anything that brought her closer to the ocean.

Mrs. Kiablick is survived by: her husband, William M. Kiablick; four children, Nicole and Jon Moses of Fairfield, VT, Samantha and Josh Morse of Austerlitz, Eric Kiablick and wife Cara Rizzi – Kiablick of Canaan and Lucas Kiablick of Nassau; her sister, Shelley Leonard; nephew, Jesse Roy of Springfield, VT, and six grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her mother, Carol Fullam and her father, Allen Leonard.

A service was held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Wenk Funeral Home, 21 Payn Avenue, Chatham.

Her family is grateful for condolences in lieu of flowers.

Guy J. Gamello, III (1962 – 2020)

ALBANY—Guy Joseph Gamello, III, 57, of East Greenbush passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Albany Medical Center.

Born September 26, 1962 in Albany, he was the son of Edna J. (Thatcher) and Guy Joseph Gamello, Jr., of Valatie.

He was well-known in the community and loved by everyone who met him. His easy smile and thoughtful words were a comfort to others and reflected his giving nature.

Mr. Gamello valued family first and foremost, and it showed in the pride he took in his children and grandchildren; admiration he demonstrated for his parents and warmth and caring for his siblings and extended family.

Home with his wife, drinking his coffee, welcoming visitors or just appreciating the wildlife in his backyard, gave him peace. He was extremely bright, while acting as a financial advisor he was a licensed principal as well as an options principal. Acing licensing exams in his early career to researching and providing insight on stocks, bonds and the oil industry.

Mr. Gamello worked at Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie for 15 years. He was proud to represent the funeral home and play whatever part he could in supporting mourners through a difficult time. He was also an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, trapping and photographing in the outdoors his entire life. He was a devoted member of the Forbes Rifle & Pistol Club for two decades, serving as president for more than 10 years. He was known as a mentor and friend to this tight-knit group. Mr. Gamello was an exemplary competitive sharpshooter. He earned the coveted Distinguished Rifleman Badge, held by only the best in the field, and posted high scores this past spring at the National Matches in Camp Perry, Ohio.

Besides his parents, he is survived by: his wife, Phyllis (Pastore) Gamello; a daughter, Carrie Gamello: sons, Ryan Larkin, Zachary Guy Gamello; sisters, Susan Hollister (James) and Linda Gamello; a brother, William Gamello (Suzanne); grandsons, Connor, Brennan and Jacob; nieces, Chelsea, Marie, Emily, Kylie and Isabella; nephews, Gregory, Jimmy and Andrew; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Church, Valatie with the Reverend George Fleming officiating. Arrangements were with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie.

Kenneth P. Pierce (1968 – 2020)

GREENPORT—Kenneth Paul Pierce, 52, of Ghent died unexpectedly, Tuesday January 28, 2020 in Greenport.

Born in Schenectady, he was the son of Juanita Hutchings and her husband Thomas, both of Stockport.

“Ken” was a 1987 graduate of Hudson High School and worked for many years as a laborer and lead man at ADM Milling in Hudson. He was an avid runner.

He will be greatly missed by his loving family including: his wife, Debra D. (Wheeler) Pierce at home; his sons, Vincen David Pierce of Albany, Kenneth Paul Pierce, Jr., of Stockport; brothers, Philip John Huff and Stephen Hutchings and sisters, Katherine E. Pierce and Heather Hutchings.

He was predeceased by his sister, Roberta C. Pierce.

Memorial services will be held Saturday February 8, 2020, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sacco Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport. Prayers will be offered at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions are requested to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, 111 Humane Society Road Hudson 12534.
