Keith W. Hawver Jr. (1959 – 2020)
MILLERTON—Keith Wallace Hawver, Jr., better known as “Peanut” passed away February 17, 2020 at age 60 at his home in Millerton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith, Sr.
He is survived by: his mother, Barbara; brothers, Perry, Scott and Kevin; sisters, Amanda and Angela; his children, Chad, Briana and Jordan [with ex-wife Theresa Hawver], Courtney [with Dale Lilley (deceased)] and Trinity and Nicholas [with Crystal Venturino]; his grandchildren, Gregory and Austin [from Courtney], Aubreyona and Acedyn [from Briana] and Michaela [from Chad].
He was born July 1, 1959 in Hudson. He was a life-member of the Copake Fire Company where he served the community from 1976 to 2010. Mr. Hawver was probably most remembered from his time at Flood’s Sanitation where he worked for 20+ years. He was a jokester and ball-buster but would have given anyone the shirt off his back in a heartbeat. He was beloved by all who knew him for the way he treated them like family from the moment he met them.
A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Copake Firehouse, 390 County Route 7A, from 1 to 4 p.m. Join his family to share memories and celebrate the man simply known as “Peanut.” “We will truly miss him.” All who knew him are encouraged to stop by and share a memory of him. Howard M. Reznikoff (1928 – 2020)
AUSTERLITZ—Howard Martin Reznikoff of Austerlitz, loved and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away February 18, 2020.
Born in the Bronx in 1928, he will be missed with a depth that defies words on any page.
There will be no calling hours and the burial will be private.

June H. Laverack (1933 – 2020)
GREAT BARRINGTON, MA—June H. Laverack, 86, of Copake passed peacefully February 19, 2020 at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA.
She was born July 3, 1933 in Bronx, to the late Herbert G. and Hilda (Taylor) Schmeichel.
She moved to North Hillsdale in 1934 to the Gustave and Gertrude Schmeichel Farm. She graduated from Roeliff Jansen Central School in Hillsdale in 1952 and proudly served her country with the Women’s Army Corp from 1953 to 1954. She worked for many years at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson as a nursing assistant.
Mrs. Laverack was involved with many community organizations, including the former Hillsdale Grange #933, the North Hillsdale United Methodist Church, Hillsdale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Roe Jan Alumni Association. Her many hobbies included: horses, skiing, gardening, piano, chair-caning, furniture-refinishing and many crafts.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Allen L. McWhirt, Sr., in 1964 and her second husband, Frederick J. Laverack, Jr., in 2009. She was also predeceased by a stepson, Gary Laverack in 1975 and a brother, Herbert G. Schmeichel, Jr.
Survivors include: her children, Allen “Butch” McWhirt, Jr., (Donna) of Hillsdale; Lucence McWhirt Wood of Colorado Springs, CO, and Patricia McWhirt Proper (David) of Copake; her stepchildren, Frederick Laverack, III, of Claverack, Roseann Laverack of Palm Coast, FL, Mariann Laverack Bergh (Bruce) of Dover Plains and Suzann Laverack Ward of Great Barrington, MA, and a sister, Peggy Fitting of Hudson. She was also blessed with many extended family members, friends and neighbors.
Friends are invited and may call Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Bonnie Snyder of the North Hillsdale United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow in the North Hillsdale Cemetery.

Elaine Warner (1962 – 2020)
HUDSON—Elaine Warner, 58, of Claverack died peacefully Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Born February 16, 1962 on Long Island, she was a self-employed housekeeper locally for many years.
She will be missed by her significant other, Carl A. Ramm at home; also sons, Mark and Matthew Warner and her daughter, CoryAnn Gallo of Chatham.

Harley B. Dole (1960 – 2020)
STOCKPORT—Harley Brian Dole, 59, of Stockport died at his home Friday, February 14, 2020 following a long illness.
Born June 6, 1960 in Schenectady, he was the son of Sandra (Moore) Dole and the late Robert Dole.
Harley was a laborer for many years with Laborers Local 1000 in Poughkeepsie. After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Army for several years before beginning his career with the Laborers Union. He had a special love for animals and always made room in his home to adopt dogs in need of rescuing. No matter how difficult or cruel a life a dog had, each one could always count on a life filled with unending love, companionship and plenty of adventures at “Camp Dole”. It was truly their forever home.
He is survived by: his wife, Deborah A. Dole; sisters, Heather (Charlie) Hampton and Sherri Dole; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
