Karl L. Gerke (1959 – 2019)
ALBANY—Karl Ludwig Gerke, 59, of Copake passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Albany Medical Center.
He was born October 5, 1959 in Brooklyn, the son of August and Linda (Mahnken) Gerke.
A local resident since 1998, he was employed as a department manager at the Hudson Walmart.
Mr. Gerke was a life-member of the NRA and a former member of the Millerton Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and the peace and tranquility of the woods and water.
He is survived by: his wife, Kathleen Mary (Harte) Gerke of Copake; his daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Gerke of Copake; three sons, James Peacock of Chatham, Brian Peacock of Copake and Michael Peacock of Catskill; his grandchildren, Julian, Leah, Carter, Seamus and Vera; and a sister, Linda Brando of Long Island.
Friends are invited and may call on both Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22 in Copake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 30, 11 a.m. from the Parish of Our Lady of Hope, 8074 Route 22 in Copake Falls. The Reverend George Brennan will officiate.
Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
As a generous caring man in life he continued so at the time of his passing as an organ donor.

Robert H. Bertram (1929 – 2019)
EAST GREENBUSH—Robert H. Bertram, 90, of East Greenbush, formerly of Albany, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019.
He was born January 18, 1929 in Hudson, the son of Isabelle and Harry Bertram. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1950, worked as a plant operator for U.S. Steel at the Atlas Cement Plant in Hudson, and retired from the Overhead Door Corporation at the WB McGuire plant in Hudson in 1994.
Mr. Bertram was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Nugent-Curtis-Bertram of Queens; and children, Patricia Curtis-Badeau, Yvonne Curtis, Barbara Curtis-Strang and John Curtis. He is survived by: Brooks Michael Curtis of Williamsport, PA, Margaret Curtis-Dietter of Sparta, TN, Robert L. Bertram of East Greenbush; grandson, Robert J. Bertram of Albany; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, followed by a Memorial Service at noon and burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Greenbush.
Pam S. Moyers (1964 – 2019)
CANTON, OH—Pam (Schneider) Braidt Moyers, 55, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center.
She was born March 19, 1964 in Carmel, the daughter of Jean (Armstrong) Schneider of Germantown and the late Walter Schneider.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading and computers were her passion.
In addition to her mother, Jean, survivors include: her daughter, Alex; son, Nick Braidt; a brother, Walter Schneider; two nephews, James and Steven Schneider; a grandson, Brantley Shepard and a companion, John Karnuth.
Calling hours are Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main Street, Pine Plains.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019, 11 a.m. from the funeral home.
Interment will be in the family plot in Linlithgo Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

William E. Cooper (1945 – 2019)
HUDSON—William E. Cooper, 74, of Stockport died Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Columbia Memorial Hospital from a sudden illness.
Born May 16, 1945 in Kingston, he was the son of the late Charles E. Cooper and Marjorie (Ibert) Finch. “Bill” graduated from Ichabod Crane High School in 1964 and received his BS from SUNY Albany. He was employed by GE in Waterford as a chemist, and happily retired 14 years ago. He was a member of the Five O’clock Club, the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department, the Village of Kinderhook Zoning Board of Appeals, and a member of the Columbia County Society for the Detection of Horse Thieves.
Mr. Cooper was an avid golfer who loved music and enjoyed reading, traveling and spending quality time with his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by many. The family thanks Jill Brennan-McCormick for her kindness, support and sense of humor during Mr. Cooper’s final days.
He is survived by: his wife of 32 years, Ann E. (Brennan) Cooper; four children, Jason Cooper of Stephentown, Jessica Lynch (Gary) of Asheville, NC, Sean Coy (Erin) of Troy and James Coy (Rachel Kayser) of Speigletown; two grandchildren, Carlie Quinn and Ashlyn Coy. He was predeceased by his brother, Gregory Cooper.
A celebration of Mr. Cooper’s life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Community Hospice of Columbia / Greene, 47 Liberty Street, Catskill 12414 in his memory. Arrangements are with the Raymond E.
