Helen Fisher (1961 – 2015)
ALBANY—In the morning of May 24, 2015, Helen Fisher passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center from complications after surgery. She was surrounded and comforted by her husband and family at the time of her death. She was 53.
Born November 20, 1961 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lancaster, PA, she was the first child of four born to Chester and Mary Ann Klobukowski.
Mrs. Fisher graduated from Ichabod Crane High School, Valatie in 1979 and went to LeMoyne College, where she graduated in 1982 with a degree in political science. Soon after, she married “the love of her life,” Dale Fisher.
She then attended the New York State Police Academy and became a New York State trooper. While a trooper, she was assigned to the security detail for former Governor Mario Cuomo.
She had two beautiful girls, Laura and Katrina and retired from the police in 1997.
Mrs. Fisher is most remembered for her kindness and compassion. She was always there for her friends and family when they needed her most. She often put the needs of her family and friends before her own. She will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by: her husband, Dale; daughter, Laura Gordon and husband Jeremy; daughter, Katrina Fisher; parents, Mary Ann and Chester Klobukowski; brother, Harold Klobukowski and wife Daryl; sister, Kathy Conway and husband David; brother, Greg Klobukowski and wife Dawn; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family conveys special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Albany Medical Center for their constant care and compassion.
A viewing will be held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie, Friday, May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1025 Kinderhook Street, Valatie, Saturday, May 30 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Kinderhook Cemetery, Kinderhook.
Kay Jamason (1942 – 2015)
VALATIE—Kay Jamason passed away peacefully Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Barnwell Health Facilities.
She was the daughter of the late Wayne H. and Annette (nee Durivage) Jamason.
Ms. Jamason leaves behind her brother, Barry and her nephews, Mark and Paul Jamason and their families.
The family thanks the staff at Barnwell for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Ms. Jamason in recent years.
