Darick J. Duarte (1980 – 2019)
AUSTERLITZ—Darick John Duarte, 38, of Downing Road, Austerlitz passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home with his family by his side, Thursday, April 25, 2019.
He was born December 30, 1980 in Hudson to Manual Duarte, Jr., of Austerlitz and the late Lori (Broast) Spragis.
He attended Taconic Hills Schools and graduated from Germantown Central. He worked on the family dairy farm and was also a carpenter working for Jed Fink Builders.
He was an avid fan of the New York football Giants, loved to fish and attend local auctions in and around Columbia County. Most of all Mr. Duarte enjoyed spending time with his children who were his world.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Jenny Lynn (Wendover) Duarte; his children, Sierra Duarte, (Skylar) Alexis Duarte, Savannah Wendover and Dylan Duarte. He also leaves his father, Manual Duarte, Jr., of Austerlitz; his sisters, Cassandra Duarte of Watertown, Brittany Skelley of Philmont, Katie Skelley of Hillsdale; his maternal grandmother, Jeanette Duarte of Austerlitz; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and many close friends
He was predeceased by: his mother, Lori (Broast) Spragis; paternal grandfather, Manual Duarte, Sr.; maternal grandparents, James and Phyllis Broast and an uncle, Scott Rifenburgh.
Friends are invited and may call Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22 in Copake.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, May 2, 11 a.m. with the Reverend Stanley Webster, chaplain of Community Hospice, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mellenville Cemetery.

Paul K. Osinskie (1960 – 2019)
ALBANY—Paul K. Osinskie, 59, of Hudson died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Albany Medical Center.
Born April 28, 1960 in Bayshore, LI, he was the son of the late Francis and Violet (Hanson) Osinskie.
He worked for the Roofers Union Local # 8 in Queens. An avid fisherman and beekeeper, he was a very loving person and a hard worker.
He is survived by: eight siblings, Richard Donato (Diane), Harold Bohlmann (Marcia), Francis Osinskie (Karyl), David Osinskie, Sharon Andros (Charlie), Valerie Rousseau, Mark Osinskie (Nancy) and Bonnie Osinskie; a daughter, Brandie; his companion, Lori; his granddaughter, Katie and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Donald Barber
CHATHAM—Donald Barber, 89, a lifelong Chatham resident, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019. It was his 71st wedding anniversary.
“Don” is survived by: his wife, Harriet; daughter, Donna (William Navin) of Pittsfield, MA; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all residing in Austin, TX; his beloved sisters, Jean Hale of Pittsfield, MA, and Patricia Rice of New Port Richie, FL.
He was predeceased by his sister, Marion Cotrell and his son, Gary Barber, who passed away May 19, 1969.
Mr. Barber was a U.S. Army veteran, who served during the Korean War.
After retirement from Berkshire Farm Center, he and his wife, Harriet, lived a full-time RV lifestyle. For 20 years they traveled throughout the U.S. particularly the Southwest.
Mr. Barber loved the golfing world. He golfed, worked as a starter, mowed and groomed golf courses in Pittsfield and Tuscon. He had an interest in old coins, read financial magazines cover to cover, dabbled in day trading and when healthy he loved riding his motorcycle. His advice to any one who smokes is “Quit.”

Joseph J. Costa (1978 – 2019)
CHATHAM—Joseph John Costa passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Chatham. He was born April 13, 1978 to Jean and Jeffrey Costa in Bayshore, New York.
He is survived by: his mother, Jean Cerami; step-father, Joseph Cerami; sisters, Melissa Costa and Vanessa Cerami, and children, Ariana Costa and Travis Costa.
His children are his greatest accomplishment. “Joey” enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hiking, fishing, drawing, listening to music and enjoying a barbecue.
