Donald R. Decker (1945 – 2014)
LIVINGSTON—Donald R. Decker, 69, of Hudson died November 14, 2014 at Livingston Hills Nursing Home.
Born April 26, 1945 in Sharon, CT, he was the son of the late Ethel and Clarence Decker, Sr.
Mr. Decker is survived by: a brother, Gary (Darlene) Decker of Kent, CT; four sisters, Phyllis Miller of Pine Plains, Kathryn Barney and Gail Hart, both of Philmont, and Candy Simmons of Livingston; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence Decker, Jr., and Ronald Decker.
Seervices were at Bates & Anderson Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson, Wednesday, November 19.

Freda V. Harpp (1928 – 2014)
SHARON, CT—Freda V. Harpp, 86, of Millerton passed away at Sharon Hospital, Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
She was born June, 21, 1928 in Sharon, CT, the daughter of William and Vera (Peck) Houghtaling.
Mrs. Harpp worked as a therapy aide at the Wassaic Developmental Center for many years.
Her hobbies included crafts, knitting, crocheting and she enjoyed a good puzzle book.
Mrs. Harpp was predeceased by her husband, William L. Harpp in 1994; a son, Robert Harpp; a daughter, Gail Killmer; and a granddaughter, Brenda Hotaling.
She is survived by: her daughter, Beverly MacDonald and her husband William of Millerton; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home 7749 South Main Street, Pine Plains, Friday, November 21, 2014 from noon to 2 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Reverend William Mayhew officiating.
Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains.

Harry L. Craver, Sr. (1925 – 2014)
TIVOLI—Harry L. Craver, Sr., 89, of Tivoli passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at his home.
Born February 2, 1925, in Hudson, he was the son of the late Harry Burton and Frances (Albright) Craver.
For many years, and until his retirement in 1980, Mr. Craver worked as a mental hygiene therapy aide at New York State’s Wassaic Developmental Center.
Mr. Craver was an accomplished baseball player. For many years he was the catcher for various teams in Hudson, Pennsylvania and other areas. He also was a great fan of the game. His favorite team was the Chicago Cubs and he was an avid collector of baseball cards.
Mr. Craver served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1949. He was active in the Red Hook Post #7765 VFW, and served as its chaplin for many years.
Mr. Craver was predeceased by his wives, Mary Alice Banks and Eleanor G. Bathrick.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Alice (Luther) Sheak of Ghent, Carol Ann Acklin of Texas, Ruth Ester Craver of Hudson and Tammy Jean Craver of Hudson; his sons, Harry L. Craver, Jr., of Amenia and Paul M. Craver of Oneonta; his sister, Allene B. Myers of Catskill; his two brothers, Clayton (Joan) F. Craver of Tivoli and Harold (Josephine) B. Craver of Clermont; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his wives, he was predeceased by a longtime companion, Josephine Jornov and two sisters, Irene Joyce Meagan and Ida Mae Craver.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 7461 South Broadway, Red Hook, Monday, November 24, 2014 from 9 to 11 a.m. At 11 a.m. funeral services will be held with the Reverend Eric Titus officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
